Websites are the single most interactive way a user can engage with a brand. Great website design always takes into account the user, from beginning to end, and create pathways and journeys for users to explore content in frictionless ways.
My job with all of these projects is to tell a digital story, to give the users a sense of place before they've been to the destination. UX/UI principals were infused with each project from the initial launch to enhancements along the way.

BERMUDA TOURISM AUTHORITY: GOTOBERMUDA.COM

Launched in 2015, GoToBermuda.com is the first fully integrated website I designed, with the help of a team of professionals including Project Manager, Interactive Producer, Content Editor, Graphic Designer, and 2 Developers. When the site launched, it was based on "page templates" as "Component Design" wasn't wide-spread. Through iterations and evolution, our team moved to full component design within key landing pages, expanding components to editorial pages when necessary.

Lauched in 2017, VisitSavannah.com launched as a fully customizable, component-based website, fully integrated with Google Maps API on article pages and Simpleview-supported listings grids, which gave the client full control over how to create web experiences for their content.
Part of the process was to enhance their branding by creating color palettes, font choices and designing with whitespace to accurately represent the feeling of the destination. Micro interactions, subtle scroll animations, image overlays and coloring all play a part in creating the right environment to showcase the destination's content without overpowering the users vision field.

Launched in 2018, VisitTybee.com is a reskinned copy of the Visit Savannah website. You may or may not know, but Visit Tybee relies heavily on the Visit Savannah marketing efforts and the two organizations work harmoniously together so their visitors (and website users) get the best content of both destinations. To save money, Tybee wanted a direct copy of all the components from the Visit Savannah site, but reskinned with their own brand, which I was integral to creating for them. I was able to overlay, update and sometimes, recreate components to fit their beach destination, while still complementing the Visit Savannah brand.

Launched in 2019, the ExploreMinnesota.com hit the scene as a fully component-based website experience. Pushing the limits on how to display content in ways that other websites weren't, I concepted and designed the editorial reveal and scroll, which creates an immersive experience with scroll interactions and image reveals that displays the content in truly inspiring and engaging ways.
Every detail harnessed the well-established brand, and integrated easily modified campaign elements as the client wanted to make sure that they had complete control in the future.
VISIT MACY'S USA

Launched in 2018, VisitMacysUSA.com was created to be a platform for the tourism arm of the Macy's brand to easily create content surrounding their flagship store experiences, tours and major events. It completely revolutionized the way their team could manage their stories and get information to visitors in major cities about all the events available in and around their stores.
Just before the pandemic hit in 2020, the Visit Macy's team was on the cusp of expanding an original video series content supporting their major sponsorship events. We were able to complete one round of this series in 2019 that spotlighted several members of the LGBTQ+ community, shared their stories and helped users understand the breadth and depth of the Macy's sponsorship of the Pride Parade in NYC.
